moving on

There are times when you have to take a moment and reflect on your life.

Where you are.

What you want.

What you're doing.

Where you're going.

It's been awhile since I've really known where I was going.  I thought I knew a few times, but I was reading the map wrong.  I'd thought I'd put it all back together, rather like Humpty Dumpty, but a surge of emotion yesterday tells a different story.

Intellectually, I know it's not the right path.  Emotionally, well, who the hell knows...

No. 

I do know.  It's not the right path, but it's an easier one.

Right path, wrong path... 

*shrugs*

You walk down the path, pick a fork and keep on walking. When you turn around, you can only see the path you've taken.  There isn't any going back and starting over.

So keep on walking...
